This Spotlight post is for one of the most successful directors and one of my personal favourites: Christopher Nolan.
What films has he directed?
To name just a few: The Batman trilogy with Christian Bale starring as Batman, Inception, Shutter Island, Memento and Interstellar.
Working with big names and leading actors such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, and Joseph Gordon Levitt, Nolan’s films are not like most successful Blockbuster movies.
They don’t tap into your typical action films that use conventions like explosions and gunfights just to increase their ticket sales. Nolan’s films are thought-provoking, exciting and innovative. They’re filled with action but their explosions and fighting scenes are minor props when compared to Nolan’s storytelling skills and his vision.
Hey readers and happy 2016!
I was about to get back into the flow of writing my usual film/music reviews but I found myself hesitating, and THEN came my light bulb moment…
Before I got back into the flow of my regular posts I thought it might be fun to start the new year by telling you a few little facts about myself so that we can start the year off on the right foot!
(It would also be great if in the comments you could give me a little introduction to your lovely self and your blog)
To make it a little more interesting I’m going to write 5 little facts that you might not know about me and open the post up at the end with any questions you might want to ask 🙂 So, here we go…
So another year has gone by. For many the New Year approaching is a time for reflection. What were your best moments of 2014? What mistakes have you made this year? Are there things that you wish you could change? Answering these types of questions usually helps us to form a New Years Resolution. But I’m going to say just why NYR’s aren’t the answer to creating your better self.
