From his debut single ‘Pillowtalk’, Zayn has shown his fans and those in the music world just what he’s been working on.
A few weeks ago, Zayn posted the audio to song ‘iT’s YoU‘, a slow relaxing tune with Zayn giving us a taste of his vocal range as he hits the high notes in the chorus. Zayn then surprised his Twitter followers with the link to the latest track ‘LIKE I WOULD’.
Fans instantly fell in love with the track, which is more likely to get you on a dancefloor unlike Zayn’s previously released songs.
Personally this is my favourite song that Zayn has released so far. It has a Can’t Feel My Face/The Weeknd kind of vibe, and it’s been on repeat and in my head all day.
It’s also been reported that Zayn was filming in Manchester, UK for his next music video, which apparently takes place in a housing estate.
After finding a box of CDs in my room last week, it was as though I’d come across a time capsule! Filled with albums by the Spice Girls, Girls Aloud, Steps, and boy-bands like Blue, *N Sync, Boyzone, a1 and 5ive, it was a box straight from my childhood! (Not to mention the fact that I’d also found my Game Boy Colour minutes earlier…)
Following on from my last post It’s All About The Nineties (which happens to be my latest fave post that I’ve written – mainly because I love being nostalgic and stuff), I decided to write about some of the music that I’ve caught myself listening to since then. And what have I been listening to lately I hear you ask? GIRL BANDS.
I’m talking about ladies that get together, decide that they can make decent music if they were a group and BOOM! They get a record deal and become worldwide sensations, inspiring women everywhere to grab their hairbrushes and sing into them (they also become posters for men to put on their wall and dream about).
And just who are these women? Which bands am I referring to? Why are girl bands so great? Carry on reading if you really want to know (and of course you’ll want to know – girl bands aren’t like Marmite, you purely love them. No hatred for girl bands exists in this world). So let’s look at some of my fave girl bands throughout the ages (basically the past 20 years as they’re the only ages I’ve been present in!)
Abel Tesfaye has released a video to his new single Belong To The World! It’s been a year since the release of his album Trilogy, an album that helped to further spread Abel’s popularity and grow his fan base since the release of his 3 mixtapes. The song comes from The Weeknd’s new album Kiss Land, which will be released this summer on August 27th.
The English rapper is back with a new song called ‘Trampoline’ and it’s definitely one to jump around to. Featuring the American rapper 2 Chainz, the song is definitely one that is aiming to be heard worldwide. With lyrics such as ‘Sydney, what’s going down. New York, what’s going down. LA, what’s going down. Vegas, what’s going down…‘, it is clear to see that Tinie wants people all over the world to be dancing to this track.
