New Tracks To Listen To:

March has been a busy month in terms of music releases – so which tracks should you be sure you’ve heard? Time to see if you can tick these off the list…

PartyNextDoor ft. Drake – Come and See Me

Jahron, better known as PartyNextDoor linked up with Drake again for track ‘Come and See Me’. They previously worked together on the song ‘Recognize’ from his album PartyNextDoor Two.

Nick Jonas ft. Tove Lo – Close

Nick released his video a few days ago for his latest song ‘Close’ featuring Tove Lo. The song itself is quite catchy and the video is pretty cool too, with an interesting yet simple concept.

Zayn’s debut album is set to be a hit…

From his debut single ‘Pillowtalk’, Zayn has shown his fans and those in the music world just what he’s been working on.

A few weeks ago, Zayn posted the audio to song ‘iT’s YoU‘, a slow relaxing tune with Zayn giving us a taste of his vocal range as he hits the high notes in the chorus. Zayn then surprised his Twitter followers with the link to the latest track ‘LIKE I WOULD’.

Fans instantly fell in love with the track, which is more likely to get you on a dancefloor unlike Zayn’s previously released songs.

Personally this is my favourite song that Zayn has released so far. It has a Can’t Feel My Face/The Weeknd kind of vibe, and it’s been on repeat and in my head all day.

It’s also been reported that Zayn was filming in Manchester, UK for his next music video, which apparently takes place in a housing estate.

The future with streaming music…

Kanye recently released his long-awaited album, The Life of Pablo for Tidal subscribers to get the first listen.

Most fans were waiting until a week had passed to purchase the album on iTunes, but Kanye made a shocking announcement that the album would not be on the store. In fact, he said that The Life of Pablo would NEVER be for sale.

Subscriptions to Tidal soon reached 2.5 million subscribers, which is more than double the amount before TLOP was added to the streaming service (according to Fader).

But with services like Tidal, how will this affect fans and the way that we get our music?

Blood was definitely spilt thanks to Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar

So I’m not out to post anything fresh it seems, because right now I want to write about the latest release from Taylor Swift: the epic release of the Bad Blood video.

I know, I know. You’re all like “But that video came out days ago… we’ve all seen it. The novelty isn’t there anymore…”

Excuuuse me, but I’m still a little giddy over it.

A Trip To The Cinema: Gone Girl review

I applaud you, David Fincher. Yet again, Fincher has made a disturbing, thought-provoking and nail-biting movie. Packed with tension, lies and accusations, Gone Girl is truly remarkable.

Starring Ben Affleck as husband Nick Dunne and Rosamund Pike as doting wife Amy, the film is described as portraying ‘modern marriage’. If modern marriage is how it is in Gone Girl then I don’t want to get married any time soon! We’re shown Nick and Amy in their early relationship days; we see them first meet, their charming ways and their love for one another blossom. Their relationship seems like a fairytale, with the treasure hunts that Amy leaves for Nick acting as a sign of the endless fun that the two have together.

Nick is the voice of the present in the majority of the narrative, and we learn more about Amy’s character in scenes referred to in her diary. From her we see how they met, how they fell in love immediately and make it to their fifth wedding anniversary. But then we start to see the cracks show. Before Nick discovers his wife’s disappearance he’s sat in his bar (cleverly named “The Bar”) complaining to his sister of their anniversary tradition of treasure hunts, seemingly bored of his married life. Then Amy’s diary entries before her disappearance, which we see her writing and are shown each entry’s events, steadily become more worrying.

What We Know About The Mockingjay Part I (SO FAR!)

I’ve been putting this post off for far too long.

Ever since we were given the tiny snippet of the latest Hunger Games film through the Capitol’s TV broadcast way back in June 2014, I’ve been preventing these words from spilling out into a blog post. But I can’t wait any longer and we’ve gained so much more info since then that I can’t help but type these words:
THE MOCKINGJAY IS NEARLY HERE AND IT LOOKS EPIC!
