Collabs I wish I could relive

You can’t beat a great collab.

The excitement as we’re teased with posters, Instagram posts and cryptic tweets. Not knowing if one will pop up on the other’s stage to perform their duet. Hitting us with unexpected matches that create masterpieces we wouldn’t have dreamed of.

Lets talk about some of the most iconic collaborations that we wish we could relive and watch all over again. If I’ve missed some out – let me know!!

Style on Screen: A Star Is Born, To All The Boys, Scream Queens

There’s nothing like a good binge watch to make you want to update your wardrobe right?

I mean, have you ever left a cinema or watched a show and thought ‘wow – I wish I had those shoes!’ or ‘I’d never have thought to pair that shirt with those trousers…’ That kind of inspiration can change your life.

There are some great roles and movies for actresses that have appeared onscreen through the years that not only represent a range of different women but also reflect our different styles.

Time to go through just a few shows/films that popped into my head with those ladies that had a style that stuck with me. I’ve also gone into a little bit of detail as to why this might be towards the end.

Let’s see if there are any surprising ones…

Checking Out Of Hotel Cortez: AHS Review

I don’t watch horror, I hate the sight of blood, gore and needles, and yet… I loved AHS: Hotel.

It was the fifth season finale of American Horror Story, and yet this season was my first time watching the Ryan Murphy creation – a show that has fans all over switching from covering their eyes in horror, to crying emotionally over a character’s moving tragedy.

And just why would someone like me, a person that steers clear of horror/thriller movies and avoids watching hospital dramas at the thought of seeing a bloodbath, want to watch a show that every week has at least one murder – a murder that results in blood gushing out of someone’s neck, their guts hanging out or their bodies or a victim drained of blood by bloodthirsty creatures?

Two words – Lady Gaga (or… The Countess).

My Christmas Gift to You

It’s that time of year where it doesn’t matter whether you’re in a store, in your car or just watching TV – you’re going to hear a Christmas song.

It’s usually the same familiar faces and voices – Michael Bublé, Mariah Carey, Cliff Richard, Paul McCartney and Wham!

But what if you’re tired of hearing the same radio-friendly Christmas songs? What if you want to kick it up a gear and party the only way you know how – with songs made for turn ups and lit Christmases (I’m not talking about the lights on your tree here).

Well, I might have something in store for you good people.

ARTPOP: The End Of An Era

Little monsters everywhere are suffering from post-ArtRAVE depression after the last ArtRAVE took place in Paris just last week.

The event was extra special as the Lady Gaga concert was streamed live worldwide thanks to Yahoo and LiveNation. Monsters that had attended the previous ArtRAVE concerts were able to relive their night by watching the stream, and fans that had never been to a Gaga concert were able to watch it live and pretend that they were in the audience with the hundreds of thousands of fans that were in Paris Bercy.

Music collabs that will go down in history:

With my previous music review being single ‘Bang Bang’ by female pop divas Nicki Minaj, Jessie J and Ariana Grande, I take a look at what could arguably be the best collaborations in the history of music or ones that will at least bring back great memories.

The latest exciting trailer for Sin City: A Dame To Kill For

Prepare yourself for the return to the city of sin:

After analysing the Fifty Shades of Grey trailer and seemingly a little unsure as to whether or not I should put myself through the film’s release, it was great to finally watch a trailer that built up my excitement with each shot! Of course, I’m talking about the new 3 minute 23 second red band trailer of the second Sin City film – Sin City: A Dame To Kill For

As I’m a fan of action, Noir and all films that cleverly execute special effects that take you to a whole new dimension, A Dame To Kill For definitely looks like a film to watch. Starring Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke and new additions Eva Green, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and even Lady Gaga (who must have enjoyed her time shooting – equipped with a golden gun of course – with director Robert Rodriguez in his film Machete Kills), the trailer gives us not a snippet, but almost a starter course to get us prepared for the main meal!

APPLAUSE vs ROAR

GAGA vs PERRY

[originally posted 13 Aug. 2013]
It’s been a hectic week in the world of pop. With the leaking of Katy Perry’s latest release ‘Roar’ and Lady Gaga’s new song ‘Applause’, both Katycats and Little Monsters were sent into a meltdown! Both pop artists are head to head with their releases, and with both set to make an appearance at the MTV VMA’s, it’s only a matter of time before we see which one comes out on top.
