March has been a busy month in terms of music releases – so which tracks should you be sure you’ve heard? Time to see if you can tick these off the list…
PartyNextDoor ft. Drake – Come and See Me
Jahron, better known as PartyNextDoor linked up with Drake again for track ‘Come and See Me’. They previously worked together on the song ‘Recognize’ from his album PartyNextDoor Two.
Nick Jonas ft. Tove Lo – Close
Nick released his video a few days ago for his latest song ‘Close’ featuring Tove Lo. The song itself is quite catchy and the video is pretty cool too, with an interesting yet simple concept.
Zara Larsson – Lush Life
Zara’s video for Lush Life was actually released in the summer of 2015, but it’s increasingly growing in the charts! Many will know Swedish singer Zara from her duet with MNEK for the song ‘Never Forget You’, but it’s great to see Zara’s popularity growing as a solo artist (I also recently found her song ‘Bad Boys‘ from 2013 and liked that too!).
Iggy Azalea – Team
I feel like it’s been a while since we’ve heard from Iggy but she’s back with another techno-beat track ‘Team’ – seemingly going back to her tried and tested formula of techno beats with a morale-boosting chorus (let’s not forget my personal favourite ‘Fancy’), Team is one that’s sure to grow on you. And its dance video is enough to inspire you to get your own team together.
Ariana Grande – Dangerous Woman (A Capella)
Ariana recently released an a capella version of her latest single Dangerous Woman and – no surprise – she killed it!
She even included a little electric guitar skit. To be honest, I think this is how we imagine we sound when we sing in the bathroom…
Zayn – BeFour
Zayn’s Mind of Mine album was released last weekend (I can honestly say I love listening to every track!) and BeFour was the song that really secured my decision to buy the album (baring in mind I’d only heard Pillowtalk, Like I Would and It’s You – after hearing all of these great tracks I knew it would be a great investment).
With songs like Truth, which sounds Frank Ocean-inspired, TiO a sultry electric song, and a collab that doesn’t disappoint with Grammy-nominated Kehlani, it’s great to hear Zayn’s own sound away from the One Direction band. I have to say, I’m really happy that Zayn made the decision to follow his own expression as we got a great debut album out of it. Here’s to many more!
